About the Owner:
Angel Diaz, LCSW, is a Licensed Psychotherapist in Illinois with a background in human behavior. Having earned his bachelor's and master's with a focus on human behavior.
Diaz is a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, having earned his master's degree with a focus on mental health studies. Diaz is currently staffed as a Behavioral Health Therapist at a community counseling center located in the city of Chicago, providing trauma-informed, evidence-based Psychotherapy to clients of all ages and backgrounds experiencing, but not limited to, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, motivation, and life transitions.
Making meaningful change isn’t easy. It’s natural to feel stuck in old patterns or overwhelmed by life’s challenges but that doesn’t mean healing isn’t possible. You don’t have to face it alone. As a therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen and understood. My mission is to walk alongside you as you uncover strengths you may not even realize you have, and to help you move toward the meaningful transformation you’re seeking.
Using evidence-based interventions including CBT, ACT, MI, and DBT, I help clients develop practical tools for coping with anxiety, easing depression, and creating sustainable change. With training in trauma-informed care, I bring awareness to how past experiences shape the present, while supporting you in building resilience and moving forward.
I believe that lasting growth comes from treating each person as a whole, and because there’s no “one-size-fits-all” path to healing, I adapt my approach to your unique needs and personal style. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. We’ll move at your pace, addressing challenges while celebrating progress along the way.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, my cat named Leah, traveling, and playing bass, guitar, and piano. I go by he/him pronouns.
